The Journey

My path to instructional design grew naturally out of teaching. As an applied mathematician, I was trained to think in systems and structure, guided by logic and precision. But teaching revealed that learning is shaped by curiosity, context, and human connection.

The Instructional Design and Development program at the University of Georgia helped me bring those perspectives together. It taught me to see design not just as a process, but as a way of thinking that unites analysis, empathy, and creativity to make learning more meaningful and sustainable.
